On the PGA Tour, mens golf shorts are not permitted for paid tournament events. With the exception of a handful of very old school private clubs, golf shorts for men are not only permitted, they are virtually standard in anything other than cold weather

Not all shorts though, make the grade for playing a round of golf. Before you wear any old pair of shorts to the course, it is smart to know your options. And apparel companies give you plenty of options too.
